Chapter 15

Irian came down the stairs in a pair of blue jeans and a tank top. She went into the kitchen with a bag in her hand from her house before it had been blown up.

"What the hell is that?" David asked as she came into the room.

"Powder for a Protein Shake. I can't eat a solid breakfast after that intense a work out. I'll puke. So, I drink a protein shake in the morning, usually grab a salad from a drive thru at about 11:30, then cook dinner for me and Malachai in the evening. It's the very rare occasion that we eat take out like pizza or McDonald's, but if we do, it's healthy.

David nodded. "Uhuh. I noticed the last part. Why a protein shake, though?"

"To build muscle. I'm not a body builder, but I like to say fit. Because of my extensive knowledge of the Human Muscular System, I've been able to create a great work out for myself to stay lean and fit. I don't want flashy muscles, but I want them to be toned and I want to be trim."

"I can see what you mean. The muscles in your arms aren't huge, but I'm sure they're stronger than they look."

She nodded. "That's because I target those muscles specifically when I work out. I do bicep curls, hammer curls and all kinds of other things to work my deltoids that my arms look lean, but cut. My quadriceps, biceps femoris, tibialis anterior and the rest of the muscles in my legs look the same way, hence why I run so much, but I also do exercises for my legs as well." She lifted her shirt. "See that wash board?" She did a sideways crunch. "Aren't my oliques pretty?"

"What do I have to do to get a stomach like that?"

Irian smiled. "Get up with me at five and you'll find out. We can work out together. I'll get you in shape for the tour."

"Are you a physical trainer as well?"

"Not anymore. I was before I became a massage therapist for maybe a year, but I like my new job. Being a personal trainer isn't my idea of fun."

David nodded. "Alright. Five in the morning tomorrow morning. Sounds like a plan."
