Chapter 75

Brie put her hand on David's arm. "I'll do it", she said in a whisper. He nodded her the go ahead. She looked at her eldest son. "Malachai, do you remember how old you were when you first met you Daddy?"

"I was five."

"Yes, you were. Now, when you were around the age of three, there was another man that I introduced to you as your father. Do you remember that?"

"A little bit. Then I didn't see him for years and then I met Dad..." his voice trailed off and he looked at David. "You're not my real dad?" David shook his head. Malachai thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, you are." David looked at him in shock. "I don't know that guy. You're the only Dad I know. Screw that stupid butt munch! It may not be your blood in my veins, but you're my Dad. I have your last name, not his."

David swallowed the lump in his throat. "Thank you, Malachai. That means a lot to me."

Malachai handed the baby to his mom and wrapped his arms around David's neck. "I love you, Dad."

David hugged the boy tightly. "I love you, too, Malacahi".
