Chapter 89

The band started rehearsals for the first time since the tour they did for Asylum before they went into hiding. Deborah had called and told Brie that she found a date, and that it was in a month. It was December at that point. Another Christmas was rolling around, but that didn't matter to anyone, really. Not even the kids. They were all just happy to see their dads all excited to go onstage again. "We need to do some of the old stuff that we didn't take on tour with us", Dan suggested at one rehearsal.

"Like what?", Mike asked.

"'Sacred Lie', 'Avarice', 'Deify', shit like that."

"We should even do 'Another Way to Die' and a few of the things that we DID take on tour, too", John said.

David nodded. "Do you guys even remember how those songs go?" he asked.

"We'll have to listen to them a time or two, but we can pick them back up in no time", Mike said. "At least I can. I can't speak for the other two."

"I can too", John said.

"Same here", Dan said.

"Great. So, for a set list we're looking at 'Deify', 'Indestructible', 'Liberate', 'Avarice', 'Intoxication', 'Enough', 'Ten Thousand Fists', 'Down with the Sickness', 'Rise', 'Sons of Plunder', 'Shout 2000', and 'Sacred Lie'. Right?" David asked.

"Sounds about right to me", Dan said.

"Ok, so, why don't we rehearse the ones you all remember, then we'll break for the day, you guys can listen to them tonight, and we'll run through those tomorrow?"

"I like where your head's at, brother", Mike said as her twirled his sticks in his hand. "Let break some shit, then."
