Chapter 235

The First Sergeant took on her new persona and reported to the War Headquarters in Washington.  She knocked on the office door that she was told to report to.  When the man on the other side of the door told her to enter, she walked in and closed the door behind her.  “Sergeant Major Hilary Thomas reporting for duty, sir.”

The man stood and walked around the desk.  “Welcome to the Utopian War Headquarters, Sergeant Major.”  His hands were clasped in front of him as he circled her.  He reached up and let out the bun she had in her hair.  “I’m the Lieutenant.  You’re my personal errand bitch.  Any questions?”  His hand picked up a lock of her hair and he sniffed it.

She decided to play along.  “One, sir.  Aren’t I technically out of uniform with my hair down?”

“I can be VERY lenient about uniform dress, but for a price.”  He stood behind her as she glanced around the room from the corners of her eyes for escape routes.  She was going to off this bastard the first day on the job and he’d never know it.

“What the price?” she asked seductively.  She was going to play this up to the best of her ability.

He walked around in front of her.  “Come behind the desk with me.”  He held his hand out to her.

She took it and followed him behind the desk to his open office window.  This will do perfectly, she thought to herself.

He turned and put his back to the window.  “Get on your knees and show me that you’re worth the exception.”  He unzipped his pants and pulled out his manhood.

She dropped to her knees and looked up at him with a devious grin.  Slender fingers of one hand wrapped around the base of his shaft as she took him in her mouth.  As his eyes rolled back into his head, she pulled a small knife from its thigh sheath under her skirt.  She knew sooner or later, he’s want her to come up so that he could try to take advantage of her.

The moment came sooner, but not sooner than she’d hoped.  He pulled up her up to meet his eyes with a hand in her hair.  He crushed his lips against hers.  She let him long enough to slip the small knife under his sternum and into his heart.  “He told you we’d bring it to you, you piece of shit.  You should have listened.  Have a nice trip to hell and be sure to send me a post card.”  She twisted the knife and yanked it out so suddenly that he fell out of the window.  She stepped close enough to the window to watch him land on the pavement below.  “Oh, how the mighty have fallen”, she said aloud as she strutted out of the office as she pulled her hair back up into its bun.  As soon as she was out of ear shot of the Utopians, she pulled a cell phone out of her purse.  “Mission complete, Director.”

“So soon, First Sergeant?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Good.  Now get your ass home.”

David sat and watched the news the next day.  He’d finally gotten his head clear off the crap that had been plaguing him since he shot the monologue.  “We have received word that the Lieutenant in Charge of the Utopian Army was found dead in front of the Utopian War Headquarters this morning.  No one knows who killed him or what the cause of his death was: whether it was the knife wound in his chest or the fall from his fifth story office window.”  David sat and gapped at the TV.  “Are you FUCKING
KIDDING ME?!” he yelled.

Mike came out of the kitchen to see what the problem was.  “What the hell is going on out here?”

“The Lieutenant is dead, Mikey!” David exclaimed.

“Do WHAT?”

“That’s what the news said.  Something tells me that the Director had something to do with it, but I don’t care!  Those mother fuckers are BOUND to come out of the wood work now and we’ll FINALLY end this
shit!”

“Brother, you’ve got to tell Danny and John.”

“Go find them for me and I’ll let them know.”

Mike walked back into the Kitchen and returned with Dan and John.  “Tell them what you just told me, David.”

“Danny, John, the Lieutenant is DEAD!”

“Are you fucking with me?” Dan asked.

“Nope.  He was found in front of the War Headquarters with his pants around his knees.  They don’t know if it was the knife wound in his chest that killed him or the five story fall.”

John laughed.  “That’s great!  Twisted mother fucker!  Maybe now those ass holes will come and fight us like men.”

“I heard that, brother”, David said with a smile.

“I WANT EVERY FUCKING UNIT WE HAVE MOBILIZED AND READY IN A WEEKS TIME TO MARCH ON THE ADDRESS GIVEN IN THE MONLOGUE IN A WEEKS TIME!  WE WILL END DRAIMAN AND HIS BAND OF MISFITS IF IT’S THE LAST THING THAT THE UTOPIAN MOVEMENT DOES!” screamed a man in a green uniform.  He may have worn General’s stripes but no one knew who he was or where he came from, but no one questioned him.  They were all outraged.  It was time for the war to end.  Draiman had to be captured.  He was the one responsible for this travesty.  It was time for him to go.
